It was the day. The has arrived. Today we're meeting her parents, I was nervous as fuck. I was waiting down her apartment with a bouquet for her. And then she arrived.

Looking beautiful as always with pink lehenga, light make-up, pink heels, black jhumkas and necklace. Perfection. I went out the car and opened the door for her. "Looking beautiful as always." I said while kissing her on her cheek. "You too. Let's go, we're already late." On our drive to the venue, Adriti was explaining me how to answer her parents questions, 'not to be nervous, think and answer, and all' I don't why but it feels like I'm going on a job interview. Which is more difficult. Ofcourse. We arrived at the venue, parked our car and headed inside.

As we went further we saw where her parents were sitting and joined that table. I greeted them and touched their feet, Adriti's mother was happy seeing me but her, no expression at all. Adriti hugged her mom and dad, and asked about their health. Her mom motioned us to sit "I'm so happy finally meeting you Ishaan." Her mom said with a smile. "Me too." I replied. "Okay, so I don't need to introduce now." Adriti said. "So Ishaan, tell me about yourself." Her mom said. "Well...umm.. I'm ceo of Pandit cooperation, which is a multinational company." Her father looked at me as soon as he heard 'Pandit cooperation'. "You're ceo of Pandit corporation?" He asked. "Yeah." "Are you related to Vishal Pandit?" Vishal pandit, my dad, how did Adriti's father knew about my dad? "Yeah, he i-was my dad. You know him?" "Yeah, we were really good friends, but after marriage we lost contact and never met each other. I'm so sorry about your dad, the day i heard that news I was shattered." Adriti's dad and my dad were friends! I don't know why but this bought relief, I was no longer stressed, I was feeling like he was already ready for My and Adriti relationship. "It's okay." "This really is a small world." Adriti's mom said. There was completely silence no one was ready to bring the topic for which we were here for till then Adriti spoke up.

"Soo....umm....well let's talk about why I mean what reason we are here for." "Look Ishaan, I don't have any problem in your relationship, i mean if Adriti has find a guy herself then he must be good. And I asked about you to some of my friends from Mumbai, they says you really are nice. Soo... I don't have any problem,i accept you guys." Her mother said. Face lit up by her reply. I was genuinely happy, and soo was Adriti. "Thankyou soo much!" I replied to her and hugged her. "Just both of you be happy, and keep loving each other." "I will. I promise." Adriti too touched her mother's feet and hugged her tightly. So now the only one to accept us was her dad, we all looked at him. He was still in his thoughts. "Keep your ego aside and just accept them." Adriti's mom said to him. "It's not ego, I'm just thinking, afterall my daughter is going to spend her entire life with him. And speaking of ego, every male has it. Male is fragile." He said in low voice. Obviously. No men can dare to speak in higher tone with their women. And Male ego?? I too have it, but not for my women.

We all were silent for a moment till then Adriti spoke up "please dad..." Her eyes pleading. "Sir I-" I was about to speak but then one of their came and cut me off "Is this Adriti?" Adriti smiled at her. "You're so grown up now, and beautiful. Just look at you, the last time I saw you, you were just a little girl. Come let's go to meet everyone." She said took Adriti and her mom with her. Adriti looked at me with I'm so sorry look and left. Whyy goddd whyyy? I was about to speak something. I looked at Adriti father, now it was just the two of us left, godd this was damn awkward. I don't know why all the pretty girls have this strict father. We both were silent for almost a minute then i broke the silence. "Sir... Please just accept us. We both really do love each other, i promise you I'll take care of her, I'll never let her down, you'll never see a single tear in your daughter's eyes. I'll literally burn down the world for her. I promise. Please.." I was just looking at him. "You promise me you'll take care of her? Do you really love her?" "Yes sir. I promise you, and I love her more than anything in this world." "Okay." He said. "Huh?" I just didn't believed what he just said. "Okay... I accept your relationship." I was damn happy i couldn't think what to say now so I just got up and hugged him "Thankyou so much this really means a lot." He smiled and replied "just take care of her. My daughter is yours now." "I will. I promise." "Now go and her that I've agreed." I nodded and left.

I was searching her in the crowd and when I saw her, I waved at her but she wasn't looking at me. Then i saw a group of boys staring at her. I didn't like that, so I went closer to them "Just go and ask her number bro. She's hot." One the guy said. I don't know why 'Everybody wanna steal my girl, everybody wanna take her heart away, couple billion in the whole wide world find another one cause SHE BELONGS TO ME !' I wanted to hit him on passing comment on what's mine. I just wanted to hit them but I can't, sometimes hitting people is not only the solution, we have to play smartly. So I just went towards Adriti who was standing beside her mom and told her to come aside, and i just smiled at her and she knew it "Really?? Are you serious...did he actually- I can't believe it." She was this happy. " Yes darling he accepted." I hugged her, kissed her on her forehead and i just looked at the group of guys, they suddenly looked away and moved to different places. "I don't know anything I'm just going to hug him." She went to her dad in like 60km/hr speed and me following her. She hugged her dad tightly "Thankyou so much dad!" "Just be happy together." Adriti looked at her mom who was talking to some of their relatives, when her mom looked at us we gave her a thumbs up indicating he agreed.

We had our dinner, with her parents. "Come Ishaan I'll introduce you to some of my cousins." Said Adriti. I nodded and left with her.
